Warwick TECH’s Hackathon is its biggest annual event spanning over 48 hours. Many sponsors, including MLH were in attendance. Around 60 or so students registered and formed team to compete for several prizes, ranging from external hard drives, headphones and other goods.

During the month of October, companies flocked to Warwick Campus to hold recruiting and networking events for students. It was a great taster of what its like to attend a target school. Of the countless events I attended, here is a sampling of what they were like.
Spectrum organized another startup pitch competition, combining elements of a hackathon with startup businesses. It was open registration to anyone, forming teams of 3 – 5 to produce a business plan within 36 hours and compete for $3000+ in cash. This year’s MSU club awards night was open to all the clubs, not just nominated clubs. Thus no sign in was required. Food and appetizers were served immediately. Nothing special, the standard pub fried food and some bite sized pizza. There wasn’t enough food ordered, and were quickly cleared out.
