Indigenous End of Year Celebration

A completely unrelated indigenous social. I had a good feeling of this event: a week prior I emailed the organizer requesting for food information under the pretense of a potential allergy risk. They responded kindly and positively.

It was a year-end party to celebrate the indigenous program at my school – alumni, parents, children and all students were welcome. When I arrived the food was already laid out and the event had not started yet.

Tables were piled with subs, sandwiches, nachos and dip, fruits and vegetables, desserts and strawberry punch. I went up and got 4 platefuls. The punch was especially good – rich and thick with the strawberry pulp.

After about an hour of nonstop eating and watching various indigenous dances and performances I made for the exit.
