Around exam season, the student union spends a load of money to buy food for students. See last year, when they gave out wraps and loads leftover that I managed to take home.
This year they switched up, for worse. Instead of getting wraps, they went for the cheaper pizza option. Also, they hired security to man the food. It was bad news for us. Despite an initial rush of students, the flow of students coming in dried up. Yet, when my friend went up to ask for seconds, they denied us, stating if more students come, they need to be served. It was honestly bs, since closing time was quickly approaching and they still have stacks of full pizzas.
We left after realizing the futility.
